Join Ivy Anderson, Devon Angus, and representatives from the Erotic Service Providers Union at the California Historical Society offices in San Francisco to celebrate the release of Alice: Memoirs of a Barbary Coast Prostitute. An hour long presentation on Alice Smith, the history of prostitution and sex worker's rights movements in San Francisco will be followed by an hour long Q & A session with the authors and SWOP representatives.
Light refreshments will be served, and original archival materials relating to the history of prostitution in California will be on display.
